Just when I thought I had bought enough gear (Sans the ODAC) birthday cometh and out of nowhere parents propose that they'll buy me an amp :yahoo: . Can't be luckier at 30 I guess ;)

The budget specced is 40-60k +/- minus my preference. The amp will primarily be driving Paradigm Monitor Titans. Last night we hauled the Titans+326+Maverick to Rohit enterprises (Lakozy Pune). I was planning to demo the C365BEE unfortunately he only had an empty box :(

We paired the Titans with a C375 instead and all of us were blown away. The folks and their daughter-in-law said its way ahead of my C326 (For love of god sure is :( ). But the price quoted was far from funny @1.02L - a 7% disc.

Now since we already have a couple of NADs in house (C315/C326) the folks were very comfortable getting another and I am having second thoughts. Want to try something else as well.

So anyone with a Paradigm or similarly bright speaker any idea what mid-fi amp can one expect to pair well with the Titans around the 60k mark? I will definitely go and audition things.

Was looking at Rega/Anthem/Rotel/AP etc. Suggestions welcome.

Hi,

I'm using DENON PMA-510AE amp for my Titans. Source is from PC (Xonar Essence STX). This amp has source direct option. This helped me much.

Happy with this Denon PMA-510AE.

Setup: (1) ONKYO-HTS3300 / Xtreamer / Samsung 32LED (2) DENON PMA-510AE / Paradigm Titan Monitors /PC- Xonar Essence STX

Thank you Sudhir sir, unfortunately my experience with the 510/710AE wasn't too pleasant and found the Yamaha/NAD far more detailed than the Denon. :(

The soon to be 30 ruengima. :ohyeah:

How about testing the Titans with Acoustic Portrait Pre + Power.
Rohit seems to be the only one in Pune who owns them.
It would be interesting to see how they perform with the Titans or Paradigms in general

Arcam could be another option. However it may be too dry for your tastes

Heard the A70 last night, not impressed at all, add to it the ears spoilt with a C375! The AP is playing on my mind too.

Today Rohit is bringing the C356 at my home, lets see how it fares.

Awesome.... Do let us know how it compares to your 326.

Have you given thought about adding a PA to your 326 as a plausible option?

That does seem "very" interesting indeed. The C265 is close to 90k MRP so we can expect about 85k for that I (would like to) hope.

For Titan try the Creek Evo too and it is an better match and it will blow all into air.. Also it cost less than NAD C265 / 356..

@Srinisundar Thanks mate, who hawks these in India?

EDIT: Got it, some "Reference Point" in BLR. Calling them up.

Had a word with them. It's slightly more expensive (64) than the C356 with MDC DAC (61). But the big downer is no one in Pune sells these. :(

I had paired my titan for a while with creek and it is an blind buy. Look for some seconds in UK market ranging from 30 to 40K.

ruenigma,

lucky guy.. .. maybe i must show this post to my parents too !!

Let me know what u think of the NAD C356.

Personally i think.. you must look at FS now + a new amp ( if you are unsatisfied with the NAD C326 ). That will take you to a different level and make the money spent worth it.

I hear there is a good deal on the new Paradign Monitor 11v7's.. contact your Pune Paradigm rep to find out. I was to audition the Monitor 11's on Saturday but i backed out as i was frankly afraid to spend in the range of 60k.

Maybe you may want to up the ante by looking at the paradigm Studio 20's .. which are similar to the Titans in size but much superior.
