What vinyl player to pick up?

Avoid the Sansui FR D55, it is a cheapie all plastic player....

the Sony PS 333 is better. It is, however, one of their mass market players....
The sony PS T 22 is the best of the lot.

Not quite in the same class, but exceptional for the money.... the OP can consider getting one!

manav you know what are the prices of those big 4 - Garrard 301, 401, Lenco and Thorens- really skyrocketed in last 2 years ( Include Technics SL 1200 - though it is DD)

I Got the TT Fever Last hear after reading article in news paper then searching the net what TT & Record Player diff , then after lot of research , in this research i had come across this forum too , i decide to buy first second hand what i can afford , i found one too in dubai , Rega P5 along with Pre Amp , used one , but lost to the bid , then in my research ,i had come across some stores which sell new one too , i went to diff stores their heard TT , NAN , Denon , Project Audio , i bought project Audio Debut Carbon with OM 10 needle Total Manual one along with pre amp , it cost me Dhs 1850 , in Rps 25 to 26 k , i would suggest what ur budget first , can u afford Manual TT thats best one , other wise go for denon , it has pre amp built in , plus its auto they have 3 models , thier top model DP 300 comes without USB Option that good one , on Flipart i had seen some discount on TT Check them other wise if some one can get u from States as its more cheaper and losts of options

I picked up a Dual 1019 and put an external arm. It sounds amazing and can be bracketed with the best. I am planning to put a new plinth. I think a new star is in the making

Hi Guys, Im just back from picking my new player out! And guess what the Sansui player he had was not a Sansui FR D 55, but a Sansui PD 30! I tested it against the Sony PS T 22 and simply fell in love with it, one because I felt the maintaince was a lot better, and it had a better sound (I felt that the Sony one had some skating(?) problems( basically a couple of times, I felt the player skipped while playing a record, not sure if thats what's called skating though). Here's the player in flesh (she still looks dusty), but I plan to clean her up well. Would really appriciate your help, if I could get some suggestions how to clean the player.Cheers and thank you all for your suggestions, offers! Mucho Gracias Amigos!
