What's a good free audio cd burning software?

Deepburner and Infrarecorder have been very useful for me in Windows environments. There is also an ISO burner solution again free whose name I forget.

Ashampoo is free and one of the verstile Burning Solutions.

Burrn seems to be very popular. I'll check it out.

Anil, I thought EAC can only do an accurate rip. Does it burn audio cd ?

^^ I second that, dbpoweramp is an awsome programm, though I do not use it for burning, it has various other uses as well.....

dbpoweramp is not free -is that right? I know that their ripping/tagging program is not free.

They used to have an interesting audio player but that is now gone.

Haven't been anywhere near W7 yet (might give it a try on my future PC) and I understand that the latest WMP is good --- but I still prefer to avoid "big" software, by which I mean software that spends a lot of resource just on screen presentation, for instance; I like to use smaller, simpler products, both for playing music and for CD/DVD operations.

Having said that... I've moved my day-to-day stuff to Ubuntu now. I have VLC as my familiar player, but am yet to discover CD/DVD utilities.

Burrrn is a very lightweight burner and player. It is very helpful if you have one big flac file and tracklist is in a cue file. Gets the job done without being all the bloat.
BTW, burn only at max of 16x.

cheers

Tools I have used over a period of time - Eac (used extensively;free and awesome), Dbpoweramp (used twice; awesome ripper but paid), Burrrn (used once; free). If you have a CUE file, any tool that supports CUE files will do the job nicely.

There is no one great tool or a "better burner"!

im a db fan too

alternatively you can rip a cd using EAC directly in flac using a plugin - i use that
if youve got an original cd this is the best way to go since you get to use accurip
