Which Television?

Go for something large screen, like 85 inches or more. However, for the money, a projector makes more sense. Especially the latest LED projectors are excellent value for quality PQ.

However, if it's a TV that you want then the LG OLED series is what you should be looking for, but terribly expensive. I haven't stopped lusting after a 6 lakh model that I saw in a showroom. Absolutely stunning PQ though how much of that actually translates to the standard definition and high definition content that we consume daily remains to be seen.

Another option is the Sony Z9D, https://www.sony.com/electronics/televisions/xbr-z9d-series.

Make sure, whatever your choice is, comes with HDR, the PQ benefits are stellar in comparison to everything I have seen till date. 4K also makes for a compelling argument in its favor, especially if the upscaler in the TV is good.

PS: But if you are really considering spending a lot of $$$ then I would highly recommend a projector and a proper home theater setup. Once you go with a PJ, you ain't going back to a "normal" TV.
i agree.. there's nothing like watching on a big pj screen for the ultimate theater experience.. get a good 50" to 65" tv for daytime movie watching and tv channel viewing and then drop down a pj screen for night time movie wathing and more.. but please keep in mind your seating distance from the screen to decide on pj screen size..

Finally the LG OLED B6 is here and installed. The pics attached show Netflix through inbuilt app. To begin with, there are two issues I could not resolve.

1) My CA CXR200 is connected through HDMI 2 (ARC) while the set-top box is thru HDMI 1. Now the thing is, I want to connect everything else, apart from the Tata Sky set top box through the AVR. So for that I connected my MacBook Pro to HDMI, port 3 of the AVR, but I do not get the reproduction on the TV. When I press HDMI 3 on my AVR it moves out from the TV connect of the AVR to a dark blank screen. Am I missing something here? I did connect, however, MacBook directly to the TV thru HDMI 3, and played Netflix through the browser but the sound out through the AVR was PCM and not Dolby. Anything I missed here too?

2) How do I get Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, US on the B6? I have entered Getflix provided DNS servers but Netflix and Amazon both, don't respond. Is there a way around?

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
