Hello friends,

I am going to purchase a WIRELESS headphone. Please help me in this regard. I am describing my need here..

- I will use the wireless headphone with laptop and mobile.
- Laptop: Dell XPS 15 L501
- In laptop, it will be used for both watching movies and listening to songs (same weightage).
- In laptop, I watch movies in VLC player, GOM player and Dell blueray player
- I listen to music using Windows media player (Also in laptop)
- Mobile- Blackberry bold 9900
- The mobile usage will be listening to songs using mobile's integrated music player.
- I listen to songs using mobile only when not at home.

Please advice me 4-5 wireless headphones based on above requirements (and also plz tell me which one is best). I stay in Delhi and want to purchase the headphone from a shop in Delhi (not from websites). I would like to purchase below Rs. 10000.

Thanks in advance friends:)

You are going to use the wireless headphones with your mobile? You do know that the wireless headphone needs a receiver without which it cannot function?? So what would be the use of using it on a mobile? You would have to connect the transmitter to the mobile phone first, which would make the mobile phone no longer mobile....

Why not consider bluetooth headphones? I don't know if your Dell laptop model is bluetooth enabled (should be) but in any case, even if it is not bluetooth ready you can pick up a bluetooth dongle to make life jinga la-la (whatever that means)!! The phone will have bluetooth and the problem of having to lug the transmitter around will not be there. And the sound is reasonably good on good bluetooth headsets.

Wireless headphones are of 3 types. IR (infra-red), RF and bluetooth. As per my experience most RF headphones have very good range but are prone to interference like slight hiss, etc. Depending on the company, the noise will differ; for eg. phones from Sennheiser, Sony, etc should have minimal hissing, while Chinese made headphones (that includes the Frontechs and Intexes of this world) will have very audible buzzing sound when there is no music coming from the source. IR headphones (like Philips SHC2000) give very good sound but they are a line of sight device which means that there should be no obstacle between the transmitter and the headphone. The range is also limited to about 7 metres.
Whereas bluetooth has no hissing and needs no direct line of sight, though the signal sometimes breaks due to some reason.
I would suggest bluetooth, but looking at your budget I am tempted to suggest Sennheiser RS130 or even RS160. Do keep in mind that both models need a transmitter to work unlike bluetooth which needs no transmitter.
And yes, while looking for headphones please keep the comfort factor in mind. To me, that is the most important criteria. What is the use of headphones if you can't keep them on your head for more than 10 minutes at a stretch? So try them on first, otherwise you will end up like me, having a whole host of unused headphones in working condition; unused because uncomfortable.

Sennheiser RS130 etc will be pretty bulky atleast i will never prefer on the move ...

spending too much on wireless HP is not advised
grab a dell wireless HP[bluetooth] very decent for 1.7-2.3k based on the place of purchase
