Hi All,

This is the link for the product.....

Woxi Media: Connecting Everyone - SmartPod

I have come across (in websites) many Android PC 4.0/4.1 in smart Box & Android TV stick... While these are basically a tablet hardware with Android OS on it..

Woxi Media Smartpod is one such product, but the User interface has been greatly tweaked for better usage experience.. Like you can create user different user accounts for each login & few others...

These are currently on demo in Tata Croma retail outlets in few cities...(Bangalore, Pune & Mumbai)..Not aval in chennai @ the moment.

Have anyone come across this product.... Any user expereince ? Kindly share

Aval @ snap deal & Flipkart for Rs 8,499/-....

Here is a one review i found http://www.themobileindian.com/reviews/643_Device-Review:-Woxi-Smartpod

Hi.. Juz received it... My wife configured it & she already started playing Angry birds...:ohyeah: and checking on few applications/ browser ...

I am in office  and yet to reach home...

I also took a demo of Amketto Evo TV..Not the latest one XL...I was told that i need to wait for 10 days to get this product for a demo in Reliance digital store in Chennai...

Will update as soon as i reach home ....:)

Thanks . Will wait for your feed back . Woxipedia scores over amkette because of Appcasts application and multi user capability . Amkette's strong point is that it has ICS Android and XBMC integrated with it . Will decide shortly which one to buy .

Woxi Media Smartpod :

Pros : - Customized android interface, multi user logins, handy Qwerty keyboard cum Air mouse , brilliant user interface....

Cons : - Hardware needs improvement....

Amkette Evo TV (Not the XL)

Pros : - good interface...Advanced than Woxi media with gesture control remote...

Cons : No handy QWERTY remote..If u like to browse on the TV, without the keypad it will be really difficult...No multi user login...

I will write a more detailed review soon with pictures on Woxi Media UI....

If you have taken demo on Amkette Evo TV XL, share your inputs...

I believe the Evo TV XL supports a wireless keyboard , right? You can always have it in case its needed.
Offcourse as time passes by , ppl tend to stop browsing over the TV.
I would like to know if EVO TV XL supports 3D playback from external HDD ?? that would be a great combination with XBMC integrated.

Yes... Evo TV XL supports wireless keyboard...it has 4 USB ports...Already the price of Evo XL TV is around 12K. Wireless keyboard will be additional investment of 2K...

Here are some pics of the product...

Have written a detailed review with more pictures in the review section....Once mods approve the thread will update the link here...

I achieved the same with the following product at a price of 50USD

Cubieboard running on Android 4.1 ICS

CPU 1Ghz ARM cortex-A8 processor, NEON, VFPv3, 256KB L2 cache
GPU Mali400, OpenGL ES GPU
Memory 1GB DDR3 @480MHz
Video output HDMI 1080p Output
Networking 10/100M Ethernet, optional WiFi
Internal storage 4GB NAND Flash
IO 2 x USB Host, 1 x MicroSD slot, 1 x SATA, 1 x IR sensor

Installed Android ICS image on the device, installed XBMC on it and it was as good as any media player or HTPC with access to everything you can do on an android. No media player or customized OS can match the power of XBMC when it comes to Media Players (Android or otherwise).

You can also install Ubuntu 12.0 on it and run Linux version of XBMC, or dual boot it with Ubuntu 12.0 (installed on NAND flash) and Android ICS (running on SD Card). Overall an absolute worthy product for 50 USD.

I will write a comprehensive review for the same in coming days ...

very nice news . What did you do for the casing (box ) and remote ? Can you please upload snaps of your media player and review of your product ?
