Yamaha NS-555 Price

Hi There,

I'm looking to buy the Yamaha-rx-v475 receiver, a pair of Yamaha NS-555 speakers and pair it with a yamaha-yst-sw215 sub. I had a demo of the setup in Yamaha's store in bangalore and found that the speakers by themselves were not completely up to the mark for low frequencies. Hence i choose to also go in for a sub. When i asked for a quote the sales guy quoted about 40 for the receiver, 40 for the speakers and 19 for the sub. Has anyone else bought any of the above equipment or know what the general rate is?

I got a slight shock when i read what peace sells wrote in the attached trend

I think for speakers you can stay away from yamaha

There are multiple threads on this, i suggest you read them. You are better off with speakers from speaker guys than Yamaha

+1, Yammy AVR suits with Jamo or Whraf's Speakers. You could try nice set of 5.1 Set-up.

Experienced FMs here will ask you to stay away from Yamaha speakers. For AVR, it is fine.
