I recently purchased a Yamaha Receiver RXV373 and a Basic speaker set NS-P40 to go with it. I purchased it online as I was getting a better deal than all the stores/showrooms here in Hyderabad including the authorised retailer.

Before buying I did listen to quite a few brands like Denon, Onkyo, Pioneer. But for the tightand limited budget I had, this seemed to be a better bargain than the rest. A few of the deal breaking features that swinged the game in Yamaha's favour was
1. Active Subwoofer
2. Better sound
3. Auto Calibration feature (YPAO)
4. Nice and clean console

Existing Yamaha owners should be able to tell me if my decision to go with Yamaha was correct or not.

Any tips on setting it up or fine-tuning it to enhance the performance and the longetivity of the HT. My primary usage is to view movies and is usage is limited to less than 12-15 hrs/week. I am still in the process of setting it up and hope to do it in the coming long weekend of 15th Aug.

From which online store you purchased it? and for how much?

I purchased this from pepperfry.com, I got the receiver for 23K and the speakers for 17128/- . Shipped and delivered from Delhi to Hyderabad in 10 days via safexpress.

This is after the local Yamaha authorised retailer here in Hyderabad quoted 20K for the speaker and 29K for the receiver.

Congrats on your purchase. Waiting for you review of your setup aswell.

Thanks. I am no professional just an enthusiastic listener. I still do not know all the features and tweaks that needs to be done. Once I am confident of mastering the set, I will surely post a review.

Congrats for your setup. Enjoy. it truly has a cleanest and balanced sound and one of the most agile AVR around.

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
