Yamaha Speaker and Subwoofer Owners Thread

Can you do a small favor? Could you play the pacific rim firts part introduction scene all the way to the yager is deployed to the sea? I want to know how the sub performs in that scene.

Naveen ,

You are about to get an Audition on the SW300 in Max HT ? Did they source one for Demo ?

The sw300 is out of stock everywhere. I live in the northeast and have no local dealers who have the sub and all the online stores i have checked dont have it in stock either. What a bummer!

I have booked on 28th March still waiting for the delivery . Dealer said it has to be imported and no stock available with the distributors (Delhi )

The price is very high... The other sites have it listed but when i contacted them over whatsapp they told me that is out of stock. Apparently yamaha is shifting their offices and will have the speakers in stock may end. I have been offered around 28,700 in other sites

Just got me dual yamaha sw300s and I am loving the sound. However I find the auto off setting even at 'low' to be quite sensitive. The sub goes off to sleep regularly and takes a certain time waking up and in that I have lost the bass output for say the explosion scene in the movie I am watching. Anyway to control this better? I find that setting the crossover at 90Hz produces good sound. Is that a good setting? And also should I set the subwoofer level to 0db and then control the volume of the woofers from the volume knob? What would be a good way to set the volume of the subs? Thank you all

It will be good if you can share the price so that others can look in this option if it is cheaper than other options.
My case my vendor quoted 26k which I know it is good .If I get the same price I can also look to buy from HT Store

Hi

It would be advisable to call HT store and ask what is the best rate they can offer for the said model of subwoofer if there is more than 3 or 5 purchases.......(Group Purchase)......I did work out some deals like this when Taga launched their SW 10 subwoofer....and there were some FMs who purchased the sub for a good discounted rate then....almost 25% (a bit more I think) less of MRP including delivery and warranty,...so work out such a deal...

Bro, this one sub alone shattering my windows and cupboard doors. And not to mention my mom scolding me even when the volume is at 60‰. I felt one sub for my room size (11x17.5) is more than good
Putting one more sub will not double your output. Its not like if you have one more sub it will be much more louder. What will happen is you will smoothen out the frequency response. Which means you will get better bass at most places in your room. Also with duals you will be be able to crossover at a higher frequency as localization won't be a problem. Which means more headroom for your avr/amp. You avr has to work lesser. I run two sw300 and it sounds pretty neat. If you can get one more sub. You will love it

I own Yamaha NS SW300 Sub. Now, experimenting positions for better sound. Will share my experience once set.
Hello Manoj , how is your AVR connected with the sub ?
if LFE , what is the cross over set on the AVR ?

i have the same Sub , just trying to get a punch bass out of it. Bought the sub from htstore.
