Hello Friends ,

I am a new member.
So far I have read many postings , which gave rare insight to the music / video world !

I am planning to buy Yamaha RX-V377 (quoted around 31000 in chennai) and Speakers NS 8390 ( quoted around 18500).

This is my first purchase of such systems. will expand system later . Was just told , i may have to use powered sub-woofer !

Suggestions / Recommendations pl.

In the section home theatre, please read about the yamaha Hts and try to find out the answers, and still not convinced, then ask the questions.
I am sure you will be getting the answers....to start with..please specify your budget for entire HT setup

Yes for HT you have to have subwoofer..

Pl letme know whether all blue ray players are compatible with YAMAHA RX-V377 ?

Any bluray player will be compatible with Yamaha. By the try to look for speakers from other brands than yamaha. Yamaha is good for AVR but definitely at that price range you will get better speakers from other brands.
