Dear friends,
Would the above combo be good? I am getting an offer for 68K.
Any other options you can suggest in the same range? My room size is 12x12 and need HT for 100% movies. Preference is crystal clear dialogues even in noisy scenes. Other available options were MS100, BA S/XS 5.1, Pioneer 323K...

Would be nice if the unit doesn't heat up too quickly.

What kind of difference in quality be if i chose Pioneer 323 HTP in place of above package?

Thanks.

Thanks for the comments. I am not sure if the seller has Marantz. will check anyway. But how good/bad is the v377 + TFX combo? would MS100 pair better than TFX? cheers.

Hi guys, i am leaning towards BA 2310. The question now is about which AVR to drive these. I am surprised to see 'on paper' wattage diff b/w pioneer 323K (100w/ch) and a much more expensive marantz 1604 (50w/ch). Confused by these specs. I am sure there must be a lot more to it than the numbers.

In any case,
1) what would be the least expensive AVR that would do justice to BA 2310?
2) And also, what would be a good Blue ray/DVD player that i can go for? something that is very silent and also doesnt have any lag.

Thanks.

1604 is a slim line series that's y so you can compare marantz sr5008 instead with vsx323 or 523

If you look @ the total power consumption of Pioneer AVR 323, it is <200 Watts...so divide it by 5 channels, roughly it is 40 Watts maximum per channel....

If you take any entry level 5.1 AVR like Pioneer 523, Yamaha RX V 3xx series most of them have around 450 watts power consumption, which roughly translates to 90 watts per channel maximum which is more than enough for the speakers that come with BA2310 package....

Thanks for the response Elango. I eventually booked XS5.1 + pioneer 323K. I hope it suffices for my room's 12x12 size. Yet to get the equipment delivered.

Hi,

I used to own a htp-323, I had some issues with the subwoofer(popping sounds) in s31w that comes with htp-323. The receiver is good but not the subwoofer. After analyzing the issue, came to know that's a known issue with the subwoofer.
