Hello,
I am planning to build a 7.1.2 HT setup, room size is 16x16 and i have already decided the projector (EPSON EH-TW7100) . And shortlisted AVR’s are Denon x3800h and Marantz cinema 50.. and finally here comes the hard part . Which speakers should i buy? My budget is between 1.5L to 2L. I have tested

Eight audio pearl F27 series
Elac debut 2.0
Mission audio LX6 MK2
Pylon audio opel 30

And i am impressed with eight audio and pylon audio. But the other 2 (elac and mission) are not calibrated well for some reasons . I am totally confused and these speakers are not in my budget too. Please suggest me a best package and where i can buy that. I am in Coimbatore.

Thank you

Hi,

There are a variety of speakers which cost less more or within budget, based on the available space you should audition as much as possible in person or see some youtube videos, visit some friends who have systems or possibly other FMs located near you to get some rough idea on quality of speakers etc.

Everyone has their personal preference when it comes to listening and quality. What will sound great to me may sound bad so trust your ears shortlist certain brands and models and make a decision.

All the best!

Hi :)

Iam not surprised that you liked the eight audio speakers. They started off with the SB acoustics drivers which are very high quality. I just checked their website, and found some talk of using custom designed and patented drivers, which might just be some marketing talk, but I would verify if I was buying one. If they are still using SB acoustics drivers like they used to, then these will be high quality speakers for the money.

Hello Vijay

Welcome to the forum :)

While DIY and non branded options are great VFM, I would say stay away from them until you build experience and your ears gets used to high quality audio (the point where you can clearly decide what you like and what sound good actually for you). Stick to branded stuff(most probably if you can get hold of used stuff, they allow easy upgrades without much of a loss) and experiment a bit and then you go for DIY stuff or other less popular manufacturers. It just a suggestion from my experience. To be honest, I got settled with couple of DIY subs which I like more than very costly branded ones :)
