Audiophile setup for a car

I am planning to upgrade audio system in my car and I need your help. Please suggest me components which can elevate my audio experience inside a car without breaking a bank. Hi-Res audio support is desired but optional (if cost is too much). Thank you..

Please don’t spend much for car audio as car is not the right place to listen to music. Any decent setup is good for casual listening while driving.
In my punto I have components from kicker and coaxials from jbl. I am happy with it.
And do invest on damping. Totally worth it.

Depending on your budget -
A simple 4 channel amp, a decent DSP & 4 component speakers could get you a lot of bang for the buck - literally.

A 5 channel amp + dsp + 4 component speakers + Sub will be an even better option.
Sound proofing in doors will help to some extent too.

I would start with the first option to see if that suffices or you need more.
