My two TP-20's arrive! In less than 72 hours from despatch time :yahoo:

Fri, 07/05/2010 23:13 - eBay.com -> Ordered from wsz0304. Got payment receipt email from PayPal
Tue, 11/05/2010 16:14 - My Email -> Got shipping confirmation email from Vendor & PayPal, with tracking number for EMS
Tue, 11/05/2010 17:28 - Heyuan, China -> Posted
Tue, 11/05/2010 17:38 - HYSD, China -> Despatched from Sorting Center
Tue, 11/05/2010 22:46 - Guangzhou, China -> Arrived at Sorting Center
Wed, 12/05/2010 01:39 - Guangzhou, China -> Despatched from Sorting Center
Thu, 13/05/2010 11:34 - Mumbai PAR, India -> Arrived at Sorting Center
Thu, 13/05/2010 12:58 - Mumbai PAR, India -> Released from Customs
Fri, 14/05/2010 15:50 - Home -> Postman delivers. No levies :yahoo:

And I bet if I'd ordered early in the week instead of late on a Friday night, the order-to-delivery time would have been even quicker :)

Gonna check them out and then give this vendor a stellar review on eBay.

:ohyeah: psychotropic! Sadly, I have no speakers to test them on right now. Only the Jamo 5.1 sats/sub connected to my AVR, and a '70s pair of raggedy Bose 301's.

Now waiting for the TP-21 and tweeters to arrive so I can reconstitute my old floorstanders. Then, the tri-amp taste test... :licklips:

Don't mean to play spoil sport but, are you going to give the vendor a "stellar' review just because EMS rulez!? IMO, EMS deserves the "stellar" review, no?

:) Absolutely, Keith! I just assumed that EMS is always good.

But my kudos is for the vendor's good judgement in using EMS for shipping, without charging extra! My TP-21 order, made within two minutes of the TP-20's but from another seller, and actually shipped via China Post two hours earlier, is apparently still in China according to their tracking page.

For an online vendor of a standard product - also sold by many others - I think using an efficient delivery channel exhibits a well-thought-out commitment to customer satisfaction!
 
My GG preamp was stalled by customs for 25 days before I got it released .

Not EMS fault of course but they never followed up and claimed ignorance about any such package for a while.

Wow! This is my first experience with international orders, so maybe I had beginner's luck with this one :)

Now to wait and see what happens with the two pending in-transit consignments. I hope the universe doesn't toss in an equalizing spanner... :p

I have asked my friend to order it for me. If he does that,i should get my piece by month end.

@gobble - how did you follow up this case .. as I think i am facing the same problem .

could anyone send me the customs number or EMS numbers (The ones on the site dont seem to work).

I had placed an order on 29th Apr for the toppings and it has yet to come thru :(

Hi Guys,
received the topping today ... total came to 79$ + 344 Rs (30 customs + 314 charges dunno why this was applied) .

Anyway .. about the amp .. this tiny thing ... really opens up the speakers and im running it at just 11-12 O clock . The sound is something very "controlled" as compared to my Denon 1909 where the mids seems to be all over the place.

Songs played so far -

We are the champions - First song . The difference was clear. Mids seem to be very pronounced. Tight reproduction .

Living in the heart of common people - bass more controlled . Some missing sections seem to be audible ( children voices in the end) which was not there before instruments can be identified better.

Yuvraaj intro - beethovens symphony seem to "come out" of the speakers .. something ive not heard so far .

Heavy Fuel - Psychotropic mentioned the cymbals at around 0:20 .. These are crisp .

I dont feel like changing CDs .. just want to listen on and on hahaha.

Id summarize in two words .. "very tight" ..

Thnkx Psychotropic .. u saved me a bundle ;) ..was thinking of going in for a stereo amp ..

Update on my Topping. The first time we tried it with my aiwa bookshelves i was not very impressed.The treble was more and it was lacking in bass. But as the time went by the Topping has settled down and even online music listening is very good.The highs and lows are very good and the mids are excellent.My most favourite singer SPBs voice sounds so live:).The amp is very resolving and instrument separations continue to make me happy.

But at the end of the day the amp deserves a better pair of bookshelves than my aiwa.I am sure the full potential of the amp will come out with... say a Wharf 9.1. bookshelves.

.. that means after the burn in it sounds even better ?? how much was the break in time btw ?
