Ever since my childhood, one component of audio ALWAYS got my attention more than the rest.
That was the Subwoofer. Somehow it had an astounding effect, most dramatic and highly appealing. The vibrations felt on turning up the volume, be it in a car, or at home, always felt unreal and evoked a smile, even if the quality of the bass was pathetic. It was my MOST favourite component of music till I grew up.

I still DO feel it's a very dramatic component, and a very integral one while watching movies. Hence a lot of attention needs to be given to it. It's placement is another headache altogether, but let's cross that bridge when we come to it, ok?

So, everyone, let's discuss the subwoofer. It's a BIGGIE, and the most delectable part of the whole spread. I have gone the whole hog, well almost. That's saying something.

I'll give you the clues.

--It's regarded in audiophile circles as one of the best sounding subs ever when it comes to watching movies. People also noted it's a good complement for bolstering music if your main speakers lack it. Which means it's competent for music as well.

--It's a 12 inch single driver subwoofer.

That's MORE than enough clues. GAS.

Dentist's, at least the ones I know of are the ones who really get a kick out of being sadistic & enjoy torturing their poor patients squeal in pain whilst wielding that dreaded drill like a favourite toy! You may be using similar ploy here, harrasing the poor chaps out here already in discomfort

I wanted to audition REL but no one had it. ANyways, still got something EVEN better :yahoo:

SVS is being launched in India soon, but I didn't know the exact date.
Epik and BK, though fabulous, have no presence in India. imagine if you blew an amp, or needed a recone. The cost would be huggggge!
