Great Choice Frank.

Quite a few happy owners of hsu are there in this forum. Do let us know how much you paid for this.

Thanks!

I think soon another thread will start :

Who killed Frank Mehta ??

And all our James bonds would be called in.
(anybody,ready?)

Btw, friend, ar u same frank from teamBHP who sold some good car audio some time back ??

thanks

I havent auditioned the sub. Auditioning a sub in one room is going to be different in another. Hence, went totally be reviews!

Started noticing how DefTech products are slightly overpriced and HIGHLY overspecced. 1200W RMS in a small cube is not difficult, but one active driver STILL doesn't need 1200W RMS. Also, their claimed LOWEST frequencies look overplayed.

Yes, I AM FRANK MEHTA.
I sold a lot of car audio. now it's gooD HOME AUDIO!

That is a great sub.

Very logical and musical alternative to the Deftech.

Congratulations !
Thank you sir. Waiting to hear the damn performance to begin!

Hi Frank
Agree with you that subs would sound very different with different rooms.
I thought like speakers you would also audition the sub, so was wondering where can a HSU sub be auditioned in Mumbai

I have been following this thread from the beginning. It is really good but climax is not up to my expectation even it is not loyal to your thread heading "Audition".Are you going to follow the same tactics in finalizing other speakers(front, middle, rear) also.

I could not understand this are you trying to sell anything in home audio by creating hype in this site.

You can now audition it at my place

Frank,

what is your amplification?

thanks

I am using the Denon AVR 1910 for my speakers.

No brother. I have auditioned the home speakers well. A lot of them. The sub, I couldn''t and didn't want to audition as I didn't want to be disappointed if the same sub sounded different in my room. the HSU has such good reviews that I haven't seen too much bad stuff written about them. Tight, low, fast. That's all I wanted.

No no, i meant, I have been into good car audio, and now I am into good home audio. No sales. I have JUST bought the stuff. The fronts and center haven't even arrived.
I can't sell so soon no

Frank,

Pls do let us know when we (forum members) can come for an audition of the speakers & sub....

Thanks

A couple of weeks and my house will be COMPLETELY ready for a demo AND a dekko!
The Stuff will be installed by the end of next week but there's a little bit of painting etc remaining. Hence the delay.
Anyways,
here's the BIG news.

THE HSU VTF 2 MK3 IS NOW IN THE HOUSE. FEDEX JUST DROPPED IT OFF.

BY GOD. IT'S HUMONGGGGGOUS!

Guys, here's a few important subwoofer placement questions.

1. My sub woofer is a down-firing one, and it has been supplied with spikes. Do I need to place it on a thick carpet? I have used vitrified ceramic (hard and shiny) flooring in my house. What benefit will the carpet have? And won't the thick carpet foul with the driver while it is in full extension??

2. My sub is placed in a corner, but the trouble is, the ports of the subwoofer are very close to the wall, about 2-3 inches is the maximum space between the wall and the ports. Do I need to treat the wall with something special?? Do I have to pad the area around the ports? Or am I being just paranoid and it will play fine?

3. Which RCA cable is recommended?? My Denon AVR1910 has LFE output and I am looking for a decent quality cable. MX makes some good stuff. Will their best gold plated RCA cable do?

BIGGEST QUESTION: I HAVE USED SOMMER NYFAZ WIRING EVERYWHERE. IS that going to be ok for powering my front speakers and center channel?? I have just 1.5 meters between the front speakers and the receiver, and I don't mind getting much better wiring for just that much distance. It won't cost much. Will it make a big difference in quality??

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
