Sure, I can wait. And what do you think, these speaker that I have are good? They have inbuilt amp you said. And moreover, most probably I will connect them with PS3, if not then my PC - for that I will buy a Xonar DX as you suggested. In either of the case, do you think I will get surround sound effect from these speakers?
And can I connect headphones on these speaker?
Thanks.
Oh ! so you have the DA5000 instead. good. i had a really good fact-sheet on DA5000 vs DA5000 Pro, which was in some other language translated to english. i dont know where i saved it, and am now unable to search for it on google.
yes even this should be good, considering that the RMS output is almost equal to PRO version.
you will get surround effect only when you are viewing anything that has 5.1ch audio encoded in it. if not, then
you wont be able to hear surround sound. like for eg, you wont hear sound from your rear speakers while listening to music, because songs are recorded in 2-channel audio.
in movies, watch the DVD of 'behind enemy lines' which has good 5.1 sound. with the PS3, games would have 5.1 sound as it is.
although there's no 3.5mm jack in the subwoofer's back, you could connect your headphones with the help of a 'male RCA-to-3.5mm female jack' cable. but why do you want to do this ?
you should connect your headphone to the audio-out of your PS3/xonar DX.
