LG PA75U - Impressions

Hi ! Vinylrecord

Can you provide me your email id or you can write me on [email protected]. I have also purchaed same projector and want to know some more details from you. Request your help for setting up.

I started using this and its awesome so far with the features. Its a very simple straight setup.
Does anyone know where can we get motorized projector screens in India and how much would it approximately cost.
Here in US it costs less and ranges 75$ to 200$ but unfortunately we cannot carry it to india considering the length of the package.

Hi ,

I'm in US and will be returning to India for good soon.
I have finalized to purchase this projector with the excellent features it has and do not really require to buy a high end smart led tv's.
I'm in confused with few things and I hope you can help me with.
1.LG US says its only NTSC and does not support PAL.Would this make sense or do we have any limitations with this?
2.The lumens is very low which is upto 600 lumens where as other projectors even at a lesser price provide a brightness upto 2000 lumens .
Many forums say this projector is good only in pitch dark environment.
Any observations from you?and do you think its not a good one during day?
3.Can this be connected to 5.1 Home theater audio?
4.Powersupply : Do we need a power convertor 110v to 220v?

Thanks
SP

I'm also planning to buy this one. Initially I zeroed on PA70G but with the specs I'm tempted to this.
To answer to your questions
1) To my knowledge NTSC/PAL makes sense only when you use the tuner part (RF connector).
2) Any LED projector is good only when you watch them with 95% darkness (5% being moon light).
3) There is by nomeans you can have a 5.1ch audio. Perhaps you can use the headphone out to stream audio to your AVR which may try to simulate a 5.1ch. If you really need a 5.1ch audio, use BD or DVD connected directly to AVR and output the video through HDMI OUT from your AVR.
4) Power supply is not a problem.

Did you double checked the focus issue? My requirement is to have a image of 100~120inches(diagonal) from 13feet distance

check the below link. But do consider to use fixed screen. Folding screen tends to bend in edges over the period of time.

The reciever end of the Wireless HDMI is connected to the HDMI in of the projector (see photo in previous post).

Here you can see it mounted along-with the power strip for the projector. This is placed above the ceiling mount.

Thanks a lot for sharing. This is good way of reducing the hassles of routing HDMI cable. Well done

What was the cost of the wireless hdmi gear?

Thanks in advance

hii vinylrecords( sorry dude,i dont know your name)..i am interested in buying a led projector..confused about only few things..
1-how is the 3d quality? is it really good or just a gimmick?
2-have you used 3d with your projector? what is the cost of glasses if you have purchased it?

3D quality is good in isolation in a 100% dark room. I was able to play 3d movies from USB and a connected htpc (both windows and mac). I also played Tomb Raider game in 3D using Tridef driver - that was awesome.

I think 3d is still tiresome to the eye - need to take breaks 20-30 mins.

I imported glasses from China (Sainsonic 120hz) for about 1200 rs each.

In practice I doubt I will use 3d much - still a gimmick.

so u r saying that i shouldnt buy the 3d version of the projector at this time...actually i am about to buy LUXCINE C5 projector...now this projector has 2 models..its 3d version costs 5k more than tha non 3d..nd considering that glass will set me back about 2.5k for 2 pieces, it might be better to buy non3d version for now nd invest in a higher end projector for 3d when this technology has matured more...right?

I think 5K is not much of additional cost. My take is it is worth it for the novelty value. I would buy spend it anyday for the gaming potential.

Hi
I am also planning to buy a PA70G for night time movies. Another option is bulb based H5370bd.what do you suggest? Is 100" possible with led?

I agree with your view. Go for the non 3D version. In different forums I came across viewers complaining of eye strain. May be if you view a native 3d content, it might be different. If a 3d to non 3d takes 5k INR price gap, I would definitely skip 3d. Also make sure if the projector supports 3d from which source, some says only from a PC. Do a demo clearly with the glasses which you intent to use and make an informed decision.

You can opt to buy a Benq projector from the US as the cost saving would be significant, The Epson projector will be more or less the same and not worth the risk.

cost saving is significant in both..but i m worried about lamp life..people have complained of lamp going out even after 1-2 months..and if i wont get the warranty here, that will be a lot of hassel..and lamps are very costly too..so if anyone has knowledge in this regard, please enlighten me...
