Hi,

While my HT room was under construction, I decided to reach out to Alex from DNI home theatre near Bellandur junction (ORR) for his help. I decided DNI after taking a look at their excellent demo setup :) Alex personally came to my site and suggested on the wirings/conduits and it was done accordingly in Aug 2011. He did not charge me for that! :)

Now I am in the process of getting the components slowly and DNI did the installations for the wires/projector mount/projector screen provisions. Harish from DNI was supervising this effort and he was extremely helpful in executing it and he gave suggestions to my carpenter to make my screen borders and HT rack:)

I should be getting the 5.1 setup along with projector screen in a few weeks time and will post my further impressions on them.

If you are from bangalore you should visit their demo rooms that are revamped now. It will definitely make you spend more than your budget like it is happening to me but it's worth:lol:

I second that.

Alex was very helpful in the initial discussions and their demo rooms are one of the best setup I have seen in Bangalore.

Alex is very resonable in pricing as well. He can tailor make ur home theater with in your budget.

DNI - they are good . I have not purchased any from them . But they are very patient with me - Spent a lot of time Auditioning in their demo .

Alex could give you good discounts , while you dont expect it from others in the shop !!

I will probably get in touch with them in a week's time. I am in the process of moving into my new home and will need to get to this basement stuff pretty soon :)

BTW, do you guys have Alex's contact details?

i got a projector screen from them, nice bunch of people.
Can you share the details of your purchase? I am in the very near future going for the full 7.1/7.2 setup and will start exploring for options(with lots of help from here ofcourse!).

I am using the components as in my Signature.

Onkyo Amp i got from Onkyo Showroom in Barton Centre, Polk stuff was picked from ProFX and Projector i got from the classified here. DNIe was contacted to buy the screen of liberty make, it is 8*6, pull down auto lock type. I am currently projecting from 15 ft an image of around 110" Diagonal.

Thanks. Enjoy your purchase. Hopefully I will too in a little while :)

it's been close to 2 years now, i am already planning the next upgrade :D

Best of luck, drop in a message if you need any help :)

Yeah! That is what I am scared off too(the upgrade bug)! Infact more than me, my wife is pretty scared as she is the one who keeps getting all the packages I order without her knowledge :D

Where are you put up? I stay in Sarjapur Road, near Total Mall.

My experience with DNI Home theater was so pathetic. They are not a professional guys. Finally I got it done with someone else.

My experience was mixed. First time met with one rep who was trying to push a particular product over another one! Another time, met with another guy who was patient and explained things to my satisfaction.

Did not want to risk it and went and got it done from elsewhere!

Forgot to mention that my configuration is 7.1.4 ( the last 4 is the Atmos ceiling speakers )!

Hi
Can u tell the price of projector screen..
I'm planing to buy one

Someone was mentioning they retail speakers as well..so I can expect a very cold response if I go to them for a budget line like AJ Floorstanders??

Speakers, AVRs, Amplifiers, etc are low volume high margin items. Even on a pair of AJ floor standers, dealer makes several thousand rupees. So, don't be hesitant to and demand a good demo. At close to 20K, these are not exactly cheap.

BTW, I bought my AJ floor standers from DNI and my experience with the dealer has been fairly positive.
