Subwoofer for Music and Movies

I am looking for a subwoofer that would sound good for both Music and Movies.

My budget is up to 60K. If something sounds better for a lower price, I am up for it. But the brands I am looking for are SVS (SB1000 and SB2000), Velodyne, Rythmic etc.

If somebody could suggest some models from the above brands or other brands which sound equally good for both Music and Movies and their availability and demo option in Chennai.

if your preference is mostly music i can suggest you to check the sealed sub with high wattage internal amp.its my personnel opinion.
i am using jl audio e112 sealed sub and it blends well . i heard good reviews about svs pb2000 also.

I'm using Taga Harmony TSW-200, it's 12 inch driver and available with in 24K or less. It works good for Music and Movies.

If you want a sub for both movies and music....look at 10 inch or more in size subs.....

Output does not really matter...what matters is the kind of frequencies.....the more lower the more better....

I use a 12 inch BIC America sub which outputs 24hz till 200hz.....its rear ported and has front firing driver....good enough for clean smooth bass.....

You could look at Sunfire also.....

Well also look at Rythmik along with SVS. No idea about Rythmik auditions though.
I've got LV12R which is ported and has a servo design. Generally recommended for both music as well as movies. HSU VTF-2 MK5 would've been good too but no authorized dealer for them in India.

SB1000/2000 are sealed subs and might not have enough output in Movies especially if you've a large room. Do check PB1000/2000 as well.

Try MJ acoustics subwoofers, I have Ref 1 mk3 for both movies & music, it is ported & I'm very happy with it. The D&D is AV lounge, Mr. Venkat 9444369900. they have stock of all sealed & ported subs in MJ for demo. You take a demo & then decide.
