IPS only offer better viewing angle...but in terms of pic quality SPVA panel used by sony and samsung is way ahead of IPS cause SPVA offers high contrast ratio and better color accuracy.

@lake1988: which technology to go for then ? SPVA or simply NeoPDP of Plasma tv ?
is SPVA tech there in Sony/Samsung Plasma tvs ?
really confused with all these features.
dont really know what features are must for the best picture clarity & quality...
Need you help in deciding it bro. My mind sways sometimes towards Plasma & other times LED...
i am still dubious about my decision on which tv to buy...
Can you pls suggest me a good VFM in 32-40" with best features TV ?

NeoPDP plasma is available in higher end Panasonic plasma models. At your budget, you will get entry level LCD/LED and plasma. A 42" entry level plasma will beat any lcd/led tv in this price range and will top many costlier led models also. But as is stated on many threads, trust your eyes only.

Plasma use NeoPDP where leds from sony/samsung use SPVA. Choice between plasma and led stands on a point which is can you control the lighting condition of your room or not.
If you can control the light then plasma is the way to go or else go with a led.
But it is not the only criteria when you buy a plasma..you need to think about warranty also. Panasonic offers 3 yr on plasma while samsung gives 1 yr only.
While in case of leds sony offers 3 yr extended warranty at lowest price and samsung also offers extended warranty at high price.
I personally stayed away from plasma and especially panasonic cause their customer care is really bad and there are already many issues with plasma.

If you want to go with leds better choose sony.

If you can mention your budget it will be easier to pick a model.

Hi,

I want to buy 32" LCD, i have narrow down my options to
LG CS 470
Sony BX 350.

i have checked both in stores and doesnt found much difference between these 2. picture quality wise also there was no difference, but the salesman were recommending for LG as it has IPS panel which gives natural color and better viewing angle.
Now i need suggestions on above options based on the overall quality and support after warranty.
Price wise there is around 2-3K difference between these 2.

Thanks in advance.

You can check these models as well. Prices are as in Bangalore.

Panasonic - L32C55D - 29K (4 speaker with woofer)
Sony 32BX350 - 27.5K
Sony 32CX420 - 29K (Full HD model)
LG 32CS360 - 29K (Full HD)
Panasonic - L32C30D - 25.7K (2011 model available in Flipkart only)

Sony BX series prices have dropped, I believe that is due to the new EX series. As per the dealer, Sony has stopped production of BX series.

CX420 seems to be a good option for me after I looked at all models. It has good PQ and SQ. Also unlike the LED series, Sony BX series support almost the same video formats as other models. You will also get an extended warranty for 2 years on paying 2K.
