I confess I'm a 3d fanatic and am must frugal about my money... I have a particular quirk to get the best bang out of my buck.. So in the planning process for my 3d home theater setup, I couldn't add a full 3d projector and hence started looking for alternatives..
The journey was hard and frustrating as what started from 200 dollars price tag for gadgets shot upto 500 dollars for any 3d rendering gadget.. I already have a Benq MX511 which I did not want to dispose... So after doing a lot of research, I have found some amazing products that offer complete independence for 3d viewing without the pains of 3d ready garbage but still on 3d ready devices... Need your inputs in case you have st ions experience
1) Optoma 3D-XL- The biggest teaser of all time! People raved about it but it's been discontinued by the manufacturer. Price tag 350 dollars at that time
So in search for cheaper alternatives, I have found 2 products which DO NOT REQUIRE YOUR TV/ PROJECTOR TO EVEN BE 3D READY!!
1) VIP 3D THEATER : People have been raving about in multiple forums and retail sites- Amazon etc. Amazing product, concerts live 3d real time- ESPN/ HBO 3d, bluray 3D and audio converts 2D to 3D real time... Price - 199 to 499 dollars depending on what one prefers - 3d emmiter and rf glasses kit must for non 3d/non 3d ready projectors/ displays
This one also connects to dlp 3d ready projectors and you can use your standard 3d link dlp glasses for bluray 3d and all formats..
2) huhushop 3d converter: same product, cheaper price.. Around 110 dollars...
Question: had anyone used either of these gadgets? If yes, what's the feedback? Is it worth the money?
