59 year old timeless classic

There is a thread on DIY audio which was started in 2002 and is still actively continuing after twenty-two years and that too about an amplifier designed 59 years ago. Truly a legendary design with few components but producing amazing sound quality the one and only JLH 1969 . I have built many of them and will include a Capacitance multiplier this time.

Designing an amplifier needs a good knowledge of basic electronics and most books are very complex for me ( my knowledge of electronics is limited ). One book which describes the amplifier design in a slightly simpler way is the High-power Audio Amplifier Construction Manual by Randy Salone, also check books from Douglas Self and Bob Cordell. One of my friends who runs an amplifier manufacturing company does a course on amplifier design I am not sure if he does it online.

After assembly in the first run there was humming as usual inspected the entire layout for errors, spending much time found that i gave the input wire in reverse changing that it becomes smooth sound , typical jlh warm tone with superb vocals
