65inch VU UHD Premium Smart TV

TCL P2MUS or C2 looks more tempting with HDR, official android Marshmallow TV with Chromecast and 4k enabled Apps and Harman Kardon speakers (in C2) at lesser price on Amazon. Wait a few days and it will sell with another TV or significantly discounted price. Also has voice activated smart RF remote. Ordered one P2MUS (delivering in few hours). Will share feedback shortly

But i think the VU has local dimming as it is DLED while the tcl is edge lit so the VU probably has a better picture and better blacks and both don't have the HDR10 certification so i don't think hdr matters here, and the VU is based of the Hi-sense m7000 which is a very well reviewed tv while the tcl barely has any reviews.

Interesting! I just looked up some reviews of the model, it's got stellar reviews indeed. Are you sure this is the same model?

I must agree with @rajwade695 because even i did found out the vu is exactly Hisense TV.
The only complaint I found was the ghosting. It can be reduced by turning off the local dimming. I heard it's no good.

I bought this TV one month back from Paytm for Rs.93k post cashback.

Pros:
Price to size ratio
Product looks beautiful
Quick Installation
Black Levels are very good
Works flawless on LAN connectivity
Netflix quality looks awesome
Played all the formats which i threw at it from a USB / HDD
Default levels of 50 Contrast, 50 Brightness & 50 Backlight are good enough. Most of the TVs will keep default settings of Contrast / Backlight at higher levels to achieve brighter picture quality.

Cons:
Skin Tones could be little better. Maybe after some tweaks, it can be adjusted.
Wifi connectivity is good but not great as compared to LAN
50/60hz feels a little shaky sometimes. 100/120 would had been better
Audio Output thru HDMI ARC / Optical in RAW format is very low. PCM has better acceptance level but sound is little sharp. Secondly no 5.1 output in PCM mode.

I feel its great VFM product. I will never buy TCL or the likes for that price range. VU wins hands down.

Thanks bro. Just wanted a feedback from someone who recently purchased.
1.Was there any issues ordering from paytm.
2. How is upscaling from 1080p to uhd?
3. Lastly my old LG led is 120 Hz and is still in good working condition.
4. At this price we can get LG 4k TV but 55 inch. Hence checking to go with 55inch LG or 65inch vu.
5. Is this model called iconica ?

No problem ordering with Paytm. I got from Laxmi Electronics.on Paytm.
VU customer care.told.me they are sub dealer from authorised dealers and warranty will be honoured . My TV was registered without any fuss.
Upscaling is average but I am surprised to see the Netflix 1080p looks amazing.
120hz on LG is plus.
Today it was available for 83k post discounts on Paytm. I don't think any TV will come to this price range
Model is Premium Pixelight Series

BTW 55" of same series available on FK for 50k and 50 " for 43k. Additional SBI discounts.

I am also in the market for 65" Vu Tv, but I see news of :
Vu Technologies launches 3 new smart TV series in India | Forbes India

Should I wait till the new models show up in the market, or just go and buy in PayTm where I am able to get it under Rs.88K

There are not many technical details about new models though.

I think they just did a formal launch for the existing models due to the festive season coming up. Even their website has the same models as earlier.

Most of the features they mentioned is generic to all the models.
Those may seem lucrative on paper , but the advertised features are simply missing.A person has posted review in youtube of the 4k HDR ones and complained about missing features that are mentioned on their website.

Purchase the Audiolab 6000A Integrated Amplifier at a special offer price.
