A great site to keep track of the movies u r watching

^^ Yea, actually we are almost equal in number of clicks ..... but he is quite ahead on the awards fronts. Let imovies come up with being able to add any movie you have seen ,,,, and my number will shoot like rocket .... :D

OMG...i just ticked the movies and realized I have watched 378 / 405 of the All-Time Worldwide Box office movie list, thats like 93% of top 405 movies in world!

Not good for the wallet!!!!

@sam9s,

Be warned that I too have some 700 other movies. But the site should allow me to add all the hongkong / chinese kungfu movies I watched when I was young :D

Box office - I would never catch you or MBR on that. I do not intend to. I may add more movies in the 1930's, 1940's column soon though ;)

I am within Top 2500 now :) Hope I can maintain it somehow - with great position comes lot of competition and increased movie viewing

Edit:...and inquisitive questioning : You have watched the original 1962 Cape Fear and both versions (1925, 1953) of Ben-Hur? How are the older versions compared to the newer versions? If they are good enough, 2 more to my watch list :)

mmm I will have a tough competition with you here, but I am close to like 1500+ movies I have seen till now Bro :), and that are those I have on record ( I mean I maintain a manual diary, for all the movies I have seen since the time I started watching movies .... :D), If I try to dig out more off record ones, I am sure we have to add another couple of 100 ... :)

Cape fear as usual I watched the original after the 1992 one, just out of curiosity, but I was ok with this one I dont know may be I had expected too much. Same happened with me with texas chainsaw series I watched the original one after watching the latest (I think in 2000), but some how I was not impressed with the 1970ss one .....

BenHur(1925) I am sorry I must have ticked it by mistake (will remove it), I only saw the 1953 one and it was a splendid movie, specially the chariot race at the end, believe me it takes you breadth away at every scene ...... truly worth watching and a masterpiece. Movie is slow and long but I'd still say the last race makes it worth in all aspects .... Do not miss it ....

Then we are not very different, bro :)

I did a manual maintenance with notebooks till I discovered PCs. Nowadays, I maintain it in a database - 1377 movies till date (excluding all Indian movies). The list only includes movies I've watched from beginning to end. So, even if I've watched most of the movie, but not the first 15 mins, I do not include them. In any case, you win :clapping:.

But that's ok with me - I've slowed down a lot in the last few years - more importance to quality, less to quantity. Chances are - I may never catch you up in the numbers game :) Of late, I am more tempted to check out a 1930's movie compared to a new one - like "Avatar" or "Toy Story 3".

I've watched Cape Fear (1992), Ben-Hur (1953), Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1970). I liked the original TCSM. But do not know how much better the new one is.

Other side can be true sometimes - I watched "Psycho 2" first - years before (1994, I guess) I watched Gus Van Sant's "Psycho" remake in 2001. Though there should have been nothing left to imagination, I liked the original "Psycho" (watched in 2002) far better than others.

Even I am almost off maintaining the movies manually, now I do it on an excel sheet, but sometimes even I miss that as well. I have also not included Indian Movies ...... and same as you I do not include any movie that I have seen from somewhere in the middle (usually like star movie and all) .....

And even I have slowed down, particularly after becoming a father ...... earlier it used to be like one movie per day on an average, but now it like 2,3 in a week ..... too slow for my pace ... :)

Time to dig this thread out of a long hibernation. Seems like many of us have not kept our accounts updated at iCheckMovies. I was within #2500 (out of 22000+) and fell as low to #3700 (of nearly 46000 now).

After furiously checking all those movies ignoring unnecessary things like work, I am inching back towards #3000 (will take a long time to get there). Seems like I'll always be behind every other person with respect to two lists - Box-office, the current decade list. I am not that terrible unless it's documentary, shorts, 1910's and TV mini-series. Hmmm.... Lots of stuff to watch. Hope I get time to cure this terrible itch!

So many movies, so little time.

After a bit of a dry spell about a year back, I've been mostly watching a movie a day on weekdays and saturdays, and 2 to 4 movies on sundays. Yes, I know I need go out and get a life, but the siren call of the movies always wins.

.... Lots of stuff to watch. Hope I get time to cure this terrible itch!

Actually this is the greatest thing about watching movies. There's always good stuff out there that we haven't watched. I dread the day the river of plenty dries up. Thankfully, that will never happen. I doubt if our itch will ever get cured. And I'm so much the happier for it :yahoo:

Just when I though my appetite for movies has grown even more ...... I get this few TV series to see and boy blows the socks off my head completely ...... now I am hooked to some great TV series and movies have taken a back seat (for now) .... been watching TV series only for the last couple of months or so ..... to bad I can not include TV series on icheckmovies ..... but guys movie freaks .... there are some awsome TV series out there which are begging to be watched ..... give them a try as well,,,,,,,

Which series are you watching Sam? I catch TV series from time to time. Watched the whole of Dexter a couple of months ago, up-to date on Fringe (which is likely to be dropped due to lower ratings), a couple of seasons of Burn Notice. But came back to movies after a while.

iCheckmovies does have TV series, but then it has all individual episodes listed - too many checks, too much time :(

^^ santhosh I am on a roll AFA TV series goes....here are the few I have completed .....

HEROES, 24, then numbers, CSI, Fringe, Super natural, True Blood, Prison Break, LOST, Stargate-SG1, The walking dead, and V, ......... recently I completed awsome TV series called Firefly .....Currently I am watching Sliders and next up in the line are ......Criminal Minds and another thriller called CARLOS.... :) ...
