Acer H5370BD - Impressions

Good decision, you saved big money and the DLP cinema picture cannot be compared to the TV. This is like watching movie in a real theater if you get a good print.

i am running with 5 TB of 1080p DTS movies. average movie size is 10 GB +

now looking for HDMI cable and 3D glasses

you can click on your profile on top and then top left you will see " USER CP " user control panel. you can edit your signature there. also you can contact local FM's in delhi and take prior appointment if you want some movies. Members are very helpful and congrats on your Projector purchase.

@ Leo2575 - Aww. Thanks for the heads up though. That means an Indian CC would not work either?

Its available on Amazon for 450$. Is it worth that much? I have zero idea about projectors.

I had recently(in Sept) ordered lot of stuff on Amazon US using my indian Amex card and shipped to my brothers address in US.

I did not find it a problem. All the goods got delivered. I had used the same US address as billing address.

HOW much max screen size i can get ??
my room is 10*13*10
i think maximun throw i can give is 12 feet ..i checked the screen size calculator on projector central and it is showing 102 inch for 12 feet throw however i didnt understand the two tabs (diagonal and zoom )on left side..sorry if it is a silly question .as i am zero in PJ knowledge

check on acer calculator for screen size..


daigonal is the screen size standard.


lcd/led/plasma on infact any screen size is taken from one end to another end daigonally opposite.

zoom is the increase in screen area with same throw distance.

lets say with 0 zoom you will have 102 inch screen at 12 feet then with max 1.1 zoom you will get say another 8-9 inches i.e. 110-112 inch of screen

About the battery time, sainsonic says that their glasses can last as long as 100h, does this mean the standby mode time or the working time. Will the battery life be related to the movies I choosed?
I saw so many types of sainsonic 144HZ 3D glasses in their website, which kind should I choose. Are the universal type really can work with all projectors. I got two different brands of projector.

I struggled mounting the H5370 BD with ceiling bracket, the screws required are to be very fine thread and thin ones, not readily available with hardware shop, as soon as you get he projector, first find the suitable screws which fits into the Acer body

Is it safe to put the projector in check-in baggage rather than cabin baggage. Any precautions to take its put in the check-in luggage.

Its very very Risky!!!I heard my friend recently broke the bulb while doing the same.So it is not recommended.But with proper packing you may give a try...
