How are you guys connecting the projector from your Blu-ray/media player? Something like this? Which brand did you guys buy?

I am using short cable from ebay.in from BDp to AVR,then MX HDMI to PJ.
HTPC connected with monoprice thick cable(24awg).
I was suspicious of them from the beginning. I did read lot of comments on the web about people not receiving items , delays, poor CRM etc.
Yes from newegg only..recieved the call from them late in the evening saying the product is with their newyork warehouse(i think they are lying )as they said that they will confirm this tomarrow.i was eagerly waiting for the product... they have ruined the entire mood...

Since many are planning to run long HDMI wires , this might be a good alternative. Not sure how far it works but is a neat and efficient solution.

I have similar but with different brand name.Looking this one I can say the cable has hard cover and if you need flexible,this is not the choice.My cable started giving trouble with video signals.Get MX.Older one is still running fine.Its 1.3 but carries 3D signal too.

i wudnt need much flexibility but i have done wire concealing and this has to run inside it. across the wall .
28ft-35ft is what i need without stretching/slagging too much. i will recheck the shortest possible length again today.
as in the picture this looks i can give it turns at 70 degree. needed at 2 places.
still in doubt. prices seem to be attractive and aurum has good reviews. need for 3d for the same projector via htpc/xtreamer/bdp.

as of now no screen . i plan to use wall as screen for a month or so and if it becomes an absolute necessity only then i will go for a DIY screen else anything under 10k.
my throw distance is only 9 feet with a dark room so i am guessing even in eco mode it will be super bright.

But i think with that throw ratio you can achieve a maximum screen size of 80-84 "(Correct me if I am wrong).Isnt that a little less.

that is true. i will get screen of 79 and with max zoom it will come down to 85 i guess. the room that i have converted to small HT room is 10-12 in which 12 side has door on both sides.
entry and balcony door. hence have to fix projector on other side . above window with empty wall in front.
