wish you guys a great year ahead..
No update since days on this thread. .. I have crossed 60 hours.. any suggestions for callicalibration or some settings tweak for better pq etc.
Posted on another thread but in case missed posting here as well
sudden power cut and I skipped a beat..
However the projector along with my 5.1 and xtreamer were still alive and kicking on 800va ups. I also understand that 1000 is recommended as few fm's tested but just to let people know that a 800va sine wave will also suffice..
wow for pq or Ayesha Takia Prem.
Wow, look at that 3rd pic... superb. Thanks for sharing.
I think you can reduce the brightness a bit.
Actual picture is 2 times better.![]()

Dats all because of you Spiro !! :clapping::clapping:
I was using XBMC all the while. One evening spiro came to my place with Thecoolestone. Spiro suggested Pot Player. Nothing was special. I even struggled getting Bitstreaming. Then Spiro tweaked the Pot Player for about 30 mins and we never looked back. SQ & PQ was much much better in Pot Player with everything remaining constant in the chain.
It was so nice that we played the HT till 6:00 am in the morning. :licklips:
You can follow these-If Spiro or yourself could share the tweakings of Pot Player.... we all could benefit quite a bit...![]()
Thanks Everyone !!
PQ is much better with black details in real. Phone Camera is not doing justice. I will click some from cameras. Even downsizing is not giving real picture.
I agree I need to tame brightness a little but I come from LED backgroundso I need some time to adjust.
Screen is Grandview 106", 16:9 Manual Insta Lock for abt 14.5k.
I have tried a couple of Screens like Milan & Picture Perfect at my place. Have also tried many screens at my office at the time of office renovation. For mid segment, I felt nothing came close to Grandview in terms of PQ and specially Built Quality. Even Picture Perfect was very nice but Grandview is atleast 15-20% better.
More difference is felt with larger size. Upto 80" difference is not huge but at 106", it makes a noticeable difference. Even colours are more natural on Grandview.
I am sure Da-Lite and Elite must be better than Grandview but I am absolutely happy with the PQ for the price paid.
