can anybody pl. help me to understand, how I can use external speaker with Acer H5370BD. I did google and found HDMI switcher box. but for digital audio out, which HDMI switcher and external speaker available in india. ? at affordable price like within 1k to 3K.

There is no audio out.So if you have player with analog out,connect the them to amp for audio and HDMI to PJ.

You will have to spend some money on a receiver with HDMI input and matching speakers to resolve the issue. Try searching for used HTIBs which you should be able to procure around 5k or so. Check olx or quicker

I have airtel HD box with R/L anaog out,also optical out and HDMI.

Guys, please confirm.. If HD box with R/L analog out is there then no need to buy any additional switcher/converter for Acer H5370BD.
hd box to projector connectivity using HDMI cable for video.
hd box to audio speaker connectivity using audio cable.(which is available with 3.5 mm jack and standard cable).
Please correct if require.

The audio connectivity is not the best you can do, but it should work. In general, 3.5mm sockets are used as headphone out and not line out. Check that if possible. Anyway it will "work".
HD box to Projector is correct.
** I assumed the "HD box" as DTH/Cable STB.

The best way would be to connect the HDMI from STB to an AVR in and another HDMI cable from AVR out to Projector.
There can be another way if your STB have any digital audio out like optical or coxial (spdif).
If you are not sure you can put a pic of backside of the STB here. An HD STB should have digital audio out. In that case you will need a DAC to get the analog output.
Placed the order for ACER H5370BD along with 2 sainsonic 3D glasses. Thank you all for your suggestions and guidance which helped me to zero in this one. Ordered it from bhphotovideo.com for $423 as both amazon and newegg have additional tax if they are shipping to CA. My friend is supposed to bring it by April

I have already explained you that analog out can be connected to amp>speakers for sound (if AVR is not possible) and HDMI to acer.So why are you so confused?I also confirmed about airtel HD box which I am using.

I have sent you the links of few STB already.
You need amplifier and speakers to get sound from L/R channel of set top box.
Amplifier can be any stereo or hifi setup.If you have any stereo system,you can connect those left and right channels of set top box to aux in of stereo and get the sound.
