My recommendation is to invest into the Audessy multi eq app. I recently purchased a Marantz sr7013 and while the sound was noticeably better than my Denon 930h, I found a leap in performance once I downloaded ($19.99) the app. App enables the removal for midrange conpensation, 2 rolloff options and best of all, a high frequency limiter. Adjusting my limiter to 300hz rather than the full range made my RP 280fs come ALIVE. Stage widened drastically and the imaging felt much better. Strongly recommend prior to any other investments.
