Allo digione signature

Hi all,

I’m using a similar setup - RPI zero + Allo Hat dac. Is it possible to stream from a Samsung TV to this ? The TV has Wi-Fi speaker Setup options

Hello Everyone,

Long time lurker on the Hifivision forum. Good to meet you all.

I have recently purchased a Rabas (Allo) Digione Signature player loaded with Moode audio Ver. 8.3.9.

Music is stored in a 1 TB HDD, approximately 800 mb of FLAC / wav files. The HDD has been formatted to ex-FAT.

There appear to be 2 issues -

1. Music library is not created - After I connect the HDD to the USB ports on the Digione Signature player, and m > update library OR m > configure > library > Music Source > CREATE - it's not working, and i am unable to generate the library.

2. Spotify Connect - Spotify player on the phone sees "Moode Spotify" as a device, however there is no sound through the speakers.

"Moode Airplay" works fine. Although has anyone tried to change the renderer from Airplay 2 to Airplay 1 assuming Airplay 1 streams lossless to Moode. This is the last of my worries though.

Will request some assistance with the above. Will prefer to speak to someone, I suppose it will be quicker that way. I also don't have any experience with Linux / coding etc so might take me some time to catch up with the tech stuff.

Thank you

Try volumio too, if that suits your need.

If volumio too cannot scan the drive, then I think, the hdd isn’t getting sufficient power.
How did you enable spotify? From settings or through plugins?

I was hoping a 1 TB HDD wouldn’t need a powered hub. I could be wrong though.

Spotify is enabled through settings. m > configure > renderers > scroll down to Spotify Connect > service ON ( settings: 320 bitrate )

Moode and volumio are sometimes glitchy. That is why I happily moved to wiim and now minidsp shd studio. Try reinstalling the moode.

I guess my problem was not being able to view the Music library generated from the USB HDD… For some reason I was expecting to see “USB” under the list of FM radio stations, but then after a bit of tinkering around figured how to get to Library view. I see all my albums now, and the player works beautifully. Will stick to Apple Music and USB HDD as sources for the time being.
