Amazon UK giving problems!

Guys Amazon UK is giving problems when you try to go for final check out...
at the final check out it is only selecting 2-3 Blu-rays...and the rest (in case you selected in total more than 3) it says not available in stock n gives an error message for the same! Now this despite the fact that they are very well in the stock when you again try to select them in your cart n proceed to check out again

Also wondering why have they stopped deducting VAT grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I have not placed an order on Amazon.co.uk in the last 2 weeks and had been unaware of the fact of that they have stopped reducing the VAT from the price. :sad: Regarding the error message, are you saying that you are able to successfully place the order when you try the second time?

Yup...2nd 3rd n 4th time finally didn't place it grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Ok correction ...finally VAT cut is back!! n the site not acting funny any more! ...guess they had 'wee(a)k-end' issues!

see its any 3rd 4th or 5th or even 6th blu-ray i choose...

basically its only selecting 2 blu-rays at final juncture randomly out of the 6 i put in basket..which in case here were

Green Hornet (it selected this)

Fast Five (it selected this)

Out of Sight (at last juncture before final order click it said not in stock)

Despicable Me Triple Play (at last juncture before final order click it said not in stock)

Fargo (at last juncture before final order click it said not in stock)

Legend of the Gaurdians (at last juncture before final order click it said not in stock)

It happened to me too. I called their rep for a chat and explained the situation. He was giving the standard replies of a trained salesman - the stock shown would be of the position with a partner retailer. Finally he agreed that the system had problems in notifying the correct stock position and that he would take my feedback to the bosses. The BD in this case was Red Cliff.

Looks like the problem is specific to Blu-rays. I just placed an order for 5 DVDs and it went through fine.

I also got the same problem over weekend...Ordered 3 BDs shipped to Aramex UK address. It made 3 separate orders..finally have to cancel them all.
Too bad that Danny Boyle's collection set price increased from 13GBP to 31GBP right after my cancellation.

i tried ordering 4 blu-rays... Green Hornet, Legend of the Gaurdians, True Grit and Out of Sight and it behaved nicely..selected all n VAT also subtracted...order placed...then came the downer.... - Dispatch date estimate Oct 12 - Oct 27...i mean WTF

So r v eligible for free shipping out then? Bec last date for free shipping to India offer is September 30th for orders 'completed' it mentions

Also r pre-orders eligible for free shipping? X Men First Class for example that comes out in Oct...

In my Experience with Amazon, amazon honors the orders placed before the last date of any offers even the actual shipping date is beyond due date. Like Amazon Prime one month free trail, orders ( Incl. Pre-Orders ) placed during that month are shipped as per PRIME norms even the actual shipping date is much later time.

I am daily getting blu-ray recommendations from amazon UK. In those mails I can see 'Eligible for Free Shipping' message for pre-orders.

Even the dispatch estimate could be revised to ship earlier than previously indicated; this happened to me once. At that time, I too got a dispatch estimate that was more than a month away even when all items were in stock. The next day I received an email from Amazon saying that they would be able to ship sooner (close to the order date itself).

Of course a few caught by customs invariably come about one week later than the usual.

On an average, all my Amazon.co.uk orders have been delivered in 7 days. The longest one took 9 days.
