how will denon 2600H with elac B6.2s work...i cannot audition anything here..covid...hence to be brought straight without auditioning

If it's just going to be music and a 2.1 setup then don't buy denon 2600H it's a 7.2 powerful amp with lot features. You could go with a basic low end avr or an amplifier for your setup.

i will add more speakers as my budget permits...but till then will this be a overkill withrespectto the AVR

Actually if followed the same path I got Denon 2600H with two tower and a sub and as budget permits will add more. I am lean towards more movies than music and want to built a Atmos system. If you will upgrade in future them go with 2600H.
