Hi FMs,

I have a Arylic S50pro+ and have been bitten by the upgrade bug (Wiim Pro/Pro+).

I am looking for any comparison between Arylic S50pro+ and wiim pro/pro plus. I know that Arylic is limited to 16/44.1 through optical, but I guess it passes through full resolution in analog. I wanted to know whether through analog does both sound equal.
I am quite happy with the S50pro+ otherwise.

Any insights?

Guys, need some input on Wiim Pro/Pro plus. If I add in a DAC and connect it to a Fosi Audio V3 and keep the volume constant, can I control the Wiim (which would be connected with a optical/coaxial to the DAC) streamer's volume from the device itself?

I want DAC in between streamer and amplifier. Currently I have Arylic S50Pro+ and directly connected to amplifier (Fosi V3).
If I want to add a DAC in between, Can I still control my volume from the Preamp/Streamer (Arylic), assuming that the connection is like this:
Arylic S50Pro+ -> (Opt/Coax) -> DAC - SMSL SU-1/Schiit Modi/Topping E30 -> (RCA) -> Fosi Audio V3

pleas advise.

Hi,
Yes u can control the volume in Wiim Pro and Pro plus .
Wiim Pro and Pro plus having volume control option in app itself which u can enable or disable ( Full Volume ).
I'm not talking about bit perfect something which use to crop up for such configuration in the forum.
Image attached for your reference with volume control and fixed volume ( Max out ) for selected optical in ( to Wiim pro )and optical out to IA.

Hope this helps.
