SevenOaks sale has started and there are few Audiolab 8200 CDPs which are ex-display being sold at 599 pounds (49K INR). Is this a good deal?

Used CDQ's go for about 600. I saw a classified on some forum where seller struggling to sell his 8200 CD just over 6 months old for 450. Not sure if its still available.

The CD and CDQ's recently got a transformer and OLED display upgrade. So the one you might be getting as ex-display should be an older model and knowing about the upgrade I'm sure you would want to upgrade yours.

So an upgrade to the newer OLED display and transformer would set you back by about 100 and a trip to the Audiolab service centre which would make the price equal to that of a new unit with newer transformer and OLED display.

In singapore i checked 5~6 month back 1200 SGD ...which equal to 48k+ because of curruency apprication .
Audiolab is best CDP and it uses very good DAC.

Hi Deepak,

Just to let you know though you're in UK for a pretty long period you could still ask for VAT refund form on your purchases if you are not returning back to UK for sometime.
There are dealers who can do that if you can show you don't have a return ticket.

yeah I will get the VAT form. richer sounds does it already. will check with others. I am in pursuit of a DAC for my PC. I might pull the plug on the Rega DAC.

Purchase the Audiolab 6000A Integrated Amplifier at a special offer price.
