audiophile jokes

Ahhh... 6moons

I have to admit I can't resist reading their reviews of anything that interests me, but I always get the feeling that I might catch something unpleasant while I'm there!:ohyeah:

What caught my eye in the Audioholics review was the effect on the bathroom fan. In this country, of course, we have fans in much more than kitchen and bathroom, and certainly they interfere with music, not only by their noise, but by blowing all those soundwaves around in ways the recording engineer never intended. Now, if only a stick could stick it to our fans...

I love 6Moons. It feels like reading Game of Thrones or LOTR- a fantasy world where the laws of physics don't apply. Although they have the best pictures amongst all the review websites.

Yes! LOTR meets hifi! And it is, in its way, quite delicious.

As to the suuuuuuubwoofer, I don't mind the home-theatre people getting their effects anyway they can. They seek fidelity to the cinema experience, just as we seek fidelity to the concert experience. If it works, then good for them. I wonder, though, even in cinema, if the frequency range of the recorded material goes that low?

But... better not get serious in the joke thread! :o

How many audiophiles does it take to change a lightbulb?

It depends on if it's your run of the mill light bulb or the $50,000 supersymmetric, class A, tube rectified, rhodium contact, 10 nines silver filament lightbulb.

The audioholics sticks review is, even if completely wrong, very funny. Those guys are just into telling it like it is.

(and hey, if you haven't tried it, and all that... So don't tell me that wrapping your CDs in an old sock cannot possibly have any effect...

;)

That's superb.

It could be reversed, too...

Of course, this room conditioning won't do quite the same for your PC speakers.
