best home theater philips or sony with in 10K

I want to buy a dvd home theater for my room with in budget of 10K.
please let me know , which one should I go for ?
Sony or Philips or any other .
I have Sony Bravia LCD TV.

i have a philips blu ray hts 3560. its almost new. have used the amp unit for a couple of weeks. the speakers are still packed. i can give it to u for 12k plus shipping

But i do not want to go for blu ray.
Can you please let me know , why u want to sell Philips Home theater ? Is there any draw back on Philips home theater , for which u want to sell it ?

when it comes to home theatre and audio please do NOT go for consumer brands like sony, philips, etc.........they are kings in making tv's not in audio. I understand budget of 10k is not much but there is an offer for Onkyo HT-S3400 on the forum for 16k, I think. That would be a lot better than any sony or philips system. Maybe even look at Onkyo HT-S3300 or 3200 if available.

well i agree with them too.but it's all about budget. but then considering that my system is almost new, it's a good deal as the home theatre does include usb n blu ray.
i have a marantz 5005 n wharfedale obsidian plus a diy sub.
with my nudget i could have gone for the onkyo, but i waited till i cold get something that would last me n not have to have upgrade pangs for a few years.
the philips / sony systems czn fulfill immediate needs.
but then again, u gotta balance budget/time etc
