DENON XP - 35K

YAMAHA 196 -23K

YAMAHA 298 - 34K

ONKYA S3400 - 43K

as all the above has AVR and sub... is it easy for me to upgrade later with just floor standing speakers ?????if so which is best ...pls help me..on this

also may be in 3-4 months once i collect some budget i want to go for

2 NOS - POLK AUDIO FLOOR STANDING SPEAKERS..

WHICH IS BEST..

Delay your purchase for that 2-3 months and buy a good AVR and floor standers.

Onkyo 3400 price is too high. It should be around 25K. Mention your budget for better suggestions.

^ correct.....also yamaha 196 is also under 20k..denon 1312 xp is 30k.....
and mention your total budget.dont hurry.

buy a 1612/1912 denon and a pair of sonodyne or wharfedale boookshelves...
shd be within 35k/45k total............buy other speakers later....

My budget is 35k.....
And ...pls suggest wat abt the avr in built with the above said systems....is it ok ...for me .....for the budget and shall upgrade only with floor stands later...

Hold your horses....Relax buddy...You seem to be in hurry to pick the HTIB's....

Plz spend some time listening to as many HT combinations for your Maximum budget..There are many places in chennai where you can audition them....

Take sometime to pick the best as you are going the spend the rest of the time with your best Pick (Sorry for the punch):ohyeah:

THANK U ELANGO....

Plz avoid using FULL capital letters....Until & unless you give some stress on some views of your's, kindly refrain from using them...You can bold them:)

You will not be confused if you audition HT packages as against HTIB's..Seperates are the best way if you can build your HT set-up step by step.....

You have plenty of time...Don't rush with 55 ~ 60 K budget....

Some receivers for your consideration - Onkyo/yamaha/Denon/Marantz

For speakers & Subwoofers - Sonodyne / Wharfedale / Mission / Polk / paradigm / PSB / KEF / Klipsch / Jamo / Bowers & wilkins / Monitor Audio & many more brands...(No order of preference)

Try to Audition/listen as many HT packages as you can, share your feedback here, Forum members will defnetly guide you to pick the right one...

If you have a good budget you don't need to look at HTIB systems. Suggest to go for seperates........always better than HTIB. HTIB works great for people on a shoe string budget.

separate is good at your budget and speacially when you have already set your mind for upgrade.
never invest on anything about which you already planned to replace.

your choice
denon 1912 or equivalent onkyo/marantz/yamaha cousins.....

a pair of FS sonodyne/polk/wharfedale/...etc etc..
later buy sub and rest....

can check hifi mart sale section..some nice ofers are going on.

demo at least 20 times...

thank u for your help what abt

from hifi

for floor stand.
polk audio TSi 400 speaker - 29k
WHARFEDALE VARDUS 400 FLOORSTANDING SPEAKER - 26k

for avr
SHERWOOD RD-6505 AV RECEIVER - 19.8k..
DENON 1612 AV RE - 26K
what u say.. guys
WHICH ONE IS BETTER

I will suggest 1912 to juice up floorstanders better rather than 1612.....or you can get bookshelves also if 1612 is fixed...your rooom size???
denon polk go well....but hear it before buy.also hear sonodyne, wharfdale diamond series, cant comment about vardus...chennai has great options for demo...why hurry??

sorry I am not from chennai ,ask elangoas...he can help.also there are many many knowlegadble members who can suggest you good places for demo.
btw sonodyne site has address of their channai listning rooms

what u say.. guys
WHICH ONE IS BETTER

AVR : Denon / Marantz (not Sherwood)
Polks go well with denon........TSi400 are very good speakers. Vardus 400 are excellent entry level speakers from Wharfedale but suggest to go with diamond 9 series, better than Vardus series.
Also look at other speakers.........Mission, Mordaunt Short, Paradigm, Boston Acoustics, etc......

@above all

thanks guys..

finally decided to go for yamaha brand.. 198 or 298 ..HT package

but i have stupid doubt ... the dealer said since am gonna upgrade he will give me a high power AVR with 198 or 298 speaker package so i can upgrade with floor stands later .. he said that AVR power is decided with watts power i.e, 2000 or 3000 ...
my doubt how can we determine the AVR power ? and also sub woofer ? my budget is low right now as i am goin to buy epson tw8100 projector for 1.5lacs
.. i have only 50k for both acoustics and HT SYSTEM. so i thought i will go with 198 or 298 with high end AVR...pls help..
also can u suggest sound proof acoustics guys in chennai how they charge per sq????
Thanks in advance...
