Hi guys,
I've seen many ad's saying blackout roller blinds being used for projectors screens.
Is it possible ? Has anyone done it...?
I have space crunch and am planning for a screen installed on my balcony French window .
If i could use my roller blind ( blackout material ) for a screen ,I could be saving on space for another motorised screen .
Kindly suggest possibilities .

If the projection screen completely covers the French window, then it will block the light quite well. Besides you can have large/heavy/thick drapes on the window. Draw these to cover the window and light will be reduced by nearly 98%. These will serve as normal curtains when screen is retracted. The drapes can be installed inside a pelmet. The screen (motorized or manual pull-down, self-lock) installed on the pelmet can descend over the drapes. Thus you will get nearly complete dark room for the theatre use.

I have the same arrangement and have felt no need of blackout roller blinds or any such arrangement.
