Bought Samsung C450 Plasma.

D bad part is still not installed.
Disappointed with samsung people.Isnpite of many calls and their promises they didnt send anyone today to get it installed

you are a very patient man, i brought my set home myself and installed it immediatly, samsung people came after 3 days, they had nothing to do except writing the sl number

Checked all LG models but wasnt impressed by the PQ.

You really seem to be in highest of "spirits". Looks like you are one happy guy. Me and others earlier had clearly mentioned the price in this thread but maybe you missed out reading it entirely and also the fact that you wanted to get the tv from close to your place -

Anyways congrats again. Hope the TV is as good as the price.
After installation please do post about the picture quality and if you are facing any other issues as me too wanting to get the TV.

WELL "BUDDDYYY" Did you check the price on Jupiter ! ( 47K for a 50 incher ) as on PLANET EARTH there is no way 50c450 would be available for this amount with Bill and Samsung manufacturer's India Warranty. The best price for 50c450 after all possible negotiations (Exchange etc) should come to around 51-52K.

Apologies if you feel I was rude. Really did not mean to hurt you or anyone with my comments. Its just that because of my Lcd / Plasma research in the last few days I am so well versed with the prices that I dont think anyone could have a better idea of the prices.

Update-
Got installed yesterday.
Guy was professional and helpful.
Initial impressions-
first checked tata sky - looked good but crt was better. as expected.
then Dvd rip of twilight- very good. Really nice.
Then blueray rip of Avatar and casino royale- Awesome. This has to be seen to be believed.

Honestly after seeing that SD looks so crap to me
Experience till now- very good.

Now the best part- Usb played my 8 gb pen drive flawlessly.
Then i tried 320 gb hard drive and it played all the movies without any glitch. Now this saved my money for wd tv. So even if i paid extra for this tv am not feeling bad now

Pics will follow in sometime.

Question- when i connect laptop throught hdmi port it says no signal. what am i doing wrong?

Drawback- only one till now- reflective glass. If you got a highly lit room dont buy this. It is reflective. Mine is covered with windows so not much of a hassle though.

No IR noticed as of now.

Firstly Congratulations.
It appears that you have picked up the tv from Croma. You had mentioned in your earlier posts in other thread that Croma is closer to your place and you wanted to buy the 450 from there.

This is something I posted earlier also in another thread.
I checked out the price of the tv today again. You have clearly paid approx 10K more for the tv.
42c450 is easily available for 38000 in Delhi and that too without much bargaining from a reputed dealer. Even I am planning for this set and am confident of getting it for around 36-37K.
Cannot understand why you paid such high amount.
Its another thing that for 47000 Rs you could have got a Samsung 40c530 LCD.

I am definitely open for a group buy. But the thing is only a few days remain for Diwali and maximum discounts are available during the Diwali festival time on tv's. So for now I am just waiting and would buy possibly buy the Samsung 50c450 model next month. Do send me a message if you or someone else wants to pick the tv next month.

that is quite not feasible actually, I am buying on EMIs and these ppl wont give that to some one who lives 250 KMs away , i just wish to know the prices so I can bargain a bit

and now i am probably gonna go for LG 42PJ560 or maybe 50PJ560

42" is priced at 44k and 50PJ350 at 56k ( PJ560 must be 2k-4k costlier) , without bargain.

are these prices good ?
