HDMI port of my PS3 has gone kaput. But I am not willing to buy a new one as its use was mainly restricted to play video files (.mkv files after conversion through handbrake)

So I need a simple player which can play .mkv files and have optical out as my logitech Z906 does not have HDMI in. My TV is 2009 model which can not play media files through USB.

I am not interested in streaming. I have a chromecast and I hardly use it. My requirements are

1. Durability
2. Good picture output.
3. Cost below 5000.
4. Should not hang up while playing from HDD
5. USB in, HDMI out & Optical out.

I see that Cubetek, Amkette, MXQ pro etc. fall in the budget but I have no idea about the picture quality aspect.

Kindly offer suggestions.

Forgot to mention, if ordering Android media player, get mini wireless keyboard as well, that will be definitely required. Customs also is just random in India, depends on the product as well. No one can guarantee that.

The Minix Neo Z83-4 is a mini windows 10 pc. Check it on amazon usa. It should be a nice addition to a home theatre set up.
