buying a 55inch TV, suggestions needed.

technology keeps changing, I would invest in it mid-way once we have the content also available in a practical price point. Not a great fan of 5500 series. rather go for the LG or Sony as suggested. if you can get 64 inch 8 series plasma of Samsung thats the bid daddy and not 4k scale can match that for HD and existing content.

I am planning to buy a used Samsung UA55f6400,a 55 inch 3d,smart led.
I would like any inputs for whuch I should look before closing in the deal.
Especially the usage hours of the tv,how can I check the Number of hours for which this tv has been used.
I am getting it for 60k asking price,is it a gud price or should I go in for some negotiation?
Any additional tips befor buying a used led. It's a july 2013 purchase, any idea of figures I am going to be looking at for usage hours?
Earlier the seller was not sure of wheter he is having a bill or not,but now he's saying that he can arrange either for a duplicate bill from croma or will try to search for old one.Do croma really issue duplicate bill when asked for an already sold good 1.5years later?
Should I put in this much of worry,on getting a bill or can I buy it without bill as well?
The seller is saying he was having 1 year warranty and now I would be able to buy an additional warranty now,can it be true with a gap of 5 months with nil warranty period?
Any inputs would be highly appreciated.

Howdy guys! Hope you all are doing very well. I was just going through the posts from yesteryears. I don't see a post of my final purchase at least on this thread. So here it is almost 7 years later!!!:D

I finally purchased Samsung 51F5500 plasma and also got the camera that goes with it. Total 75k INR. I ended up in a hasty buy as my old TV panel was scratched by a kid while playing and it was interfering a lot in watching the football matches. I bought 2 additional 3D glasses from Amazon.

I must say, I got used to the TV and its picture quality so much, that every other TV I see around seems to deliver artificial picture with over-saturated colours, no matter how good they are. I got biased! It has been a simple TV and with my Amazon stick 4K plugged into the Home Theatre Sony HT IV300, the set up works great and seamlessly with one remote. I didn't miss 4K.

It's 5 years since we disconnected our 2 set top boxes and stopped watching TV channels. We at home developed a feeling that we were wasting time watching TV and the channels contents were no more appealing. Even to watch YouTube and movies, we had been switching the TV on only very few times a week until the pandemic started. Currently our TV time is intermittent and couple of hours a day at most.

We had 2 tablets at home for me and my wife. The pandemic led to acquisition of 3 more. Maybe that is the reason TV is mostly not is use. Only for Xbox it is switched on lately. So one thing I am happy about is that I did not spend 1.5lakhs on the TV! The waste would have been more :p

I bought a decent lossless personal audio player and 2 great big headphones. Gothic metal and the player is keeping me better entertained.

Let me know your story how it has been.
