Your location shows Hyd??
If so, come along and audition it @ my home. I have 1.
Nothing comes close to personal audition.

Thanks blasto but presently im in rudrapur, uttaranchal at factory. Audition would not be possible. Anyways i read rave reviews about it. Seems to be what i need good low frequency reproduction, very slightly recessed on the mids with smooth but not over bearing highs. can you give me your thoughts on the sound?

Are they available in India ? I was actually planning on ordering mine from headphone.com/headroom website.

Let me also mention that major use for the m50 would be with my mp3 player + rare usage with my beresford caiman headphone amplifier.

The ATHAD700 look to have a very balanced sound but a little weak on the bass. The bass is very important for the psytrance music i listen to + they seem to be a bit bigger than m50.

I ordered the AT M50 from headphone.com for $150, in the order page on the website it says $0 shipping so im guessing shipping was free although they quoted me $40 for international shipping when i mailed them. can only be sure after i check my credit card statement. Also no customs.

Once i get them burnt in eventually i will also give them sometime with my beresford caiman class a headphone amplifier. I will add a some brief comments of the cans and the caiman amplifier in the coming months.

they would be great cans for ur usage,me thinks.do keep us posted.again, thnx for the pm :).cheers

audiodelic, got them as yet??looking forward to impressions,as every single opinion out there is nothing short of stellar.the best bang for ur buck can ;)?cheers

Yup i have received them and i can hear much more detail in some familiar songs. The sound is very spacious and has depth for headphones especially after upgrading from sennheiser hd 202. My samsung pmp is not being able to drive it to much loudness whereas my creative audigy 2 za notebook seems to be doing better. Bass is tight and not bloated. I will post a proper review once i finish with burn in time and start using these with my beresford caiman headphone amplifier. Overall i think i need to upgrade from my audioengine a5 since i hear much more detail in the m50's so im pretty happy with them.

great, congrats on a very, very good pair of cans by all accounts.supposedly require a min of 40hrs burn in time, and should get only better!!!cheers

So yesterday i hooked up these cans to the beresford caiman headphone amplifier. The difference to my ears was night and day. With the amp these headphones sound way better, a whole new level. A level which i thought was never possible in headphones. The sound stage, resolution everything just opened up. What i was hearing before was just a glimpse of what these cans were capable off. Anyways im gonna give it another good listen after work today. But i think you definitely need an amp to hear the real potential of these headphones.

audiodelic, great to know ur enjoying them :).even if they are supposedly easy to drive, some amplification goes a long way in improving sonic detail is what i've heard.enjoy the music!!cheers

dammit,my M50's are taking forever to get here !!!oh yes,i finally took the inevitable plunge :ohyeah:!!!cheers

finally, after close to a month of horrid and impatient waiting,i have them ;).it took just a few days to get to india, but our dear old kerala "cushtoms" officials decided to hold on to it for the better part of that time .methinks, they were so taken in with them, that they could not bear to let it go from their sight :p!!oh well.

out of the box, sounded quite, quite good indeed.on bass that im used to from a can, this sets a new standard for lows, jeez.good extension in the upper ends, great resolution.all this from few mts of listening, being driven of my nuforce udac.burning in as i type, shall give a better listen to them after my customary 40hrs :p.audiodelic, they are a beautiful set of cans indeed, wonderful build qlty, and that typical audio technica sound :licklips:.cheers
