Buying polk audio 5.1 speaker set

I own a Sony 32 inch LCD with 4 hdmi inputs and 5.1 coaxial output

I already connected Sony bdp s190 blu ray player with my tv with hdmi

Then what is necessary of buying amplifier?

your question is confusing.....what do you want...have you bought speakers....then yes you need an avr or amp...

You already bought 5.1 speakers? How will you drive them? You need an amplifier to power the speakers. Also to get 5.1 sound from coaxial output, you will need a surround decoder. An AVR has both the amplifiers and decoders you need.

i think the op has bought 5.1 pc speaker set..but polk dont have this type of......
