Cambridge Audio S30

Dear Friends,

I have came across an offer for Cambridge Audio S30. The problem is, in one of the woofers the "outer rubber gasket ring" has been little damaged and has been fixed using "quick fix" by the owner.

Now the questions...
1) Whether this will affect the speaker performance?
2) If it will degrade the performance, whether can I change the rubber gasket?
3) If I can, where I can change the rubber gasket?

Please give some advice and clarifications. It will help to respond accordingly to the owner.

For more information, I have attached herewith the fixed Cambridge Audio S30's image. Please take a look at it and give advice.
The Owner says that the performance is not at all affected by this fault and fix.

Could you please tell me about the performance of "Cambridge Audio s50" Center Speaker?
I am also getting Cambridge Audio S50 center speaker to match the cambridge audio S30's. Whether the S50 center will match with S30s?

If you are going to keep the S30s for the fronts, obviously there is no better match than S50 for the centre. It will be a perfect timbre matching.

I think you need to audition it to get a better idea about the condition of the speaker.

due to this problem, if its coming for a bargain price just grab it

I think quick fix is not the right glue for fixing speaker cones or surrounds

quick fix is a type of hard adhesive when it get into dry

for speaker cones any rubber type adhesive is good fevibond of pidilite will work upto an extend if any special glue is not available

I didn't got the speakers due to busy work. I'll post the performance of the speakers once I got it. Thanks.

S30 is excellent speaker for the price.Midrange is beautiful and decent Bass.Treble is rolled of but not affecting overall sound quality.Its real musical speaker.
