I got myself two CD racks made with ply from a local contractor. You can see one of them in my DP. The advantage being they last well (almost 8 years old now, going strong) and you can design to fit the wall space/s you have.

This cd rack was purchased at Bombay Stores in Churchgate Mumbai. Not sure if it is available now. The capacity maybe is close to approx 80 cds and has lasted so far for approx 18 years. The slots in between for holding cd's are made of fine wrought iron wire rods.
Downside of this design is, the glass from the inside cannot be cleaned properly since the space is blocked by the cd holders.

If your collection runs into the 100s, @sachinchavan 15865 has the right idea.
It would be best to get a rack custom-made if you’d like to protect your discs from dust.
The unit on the right was made years ago when I started out.

The entire unit was designed by me and put together by a local carpenter. It’s fixed to the wall and has a depth of just 10 inches. Width and height were tailored to the available space.
