Hi All,

Which one is the cheapest, best Blu Ray player which can support all HD audio formats like Dolby HD, DTS HD MA etc., and can play all major video formats like mkv, avi, divx etc., (the ones which are downloaded from internet :D)

You can buy any basic Sony Blu-ray player (e.g. Sony BDP S-1100 @ 6K-6.5K) which fulfills all your requirements except automatically download the movies from Internet :)

It supports mostly file formats and codecs mentioned, only issue is; it is Region C player which means you can't play Region Locked Blu-rays/DVDs (like imported from USA and UK, but there are many Region Free titles in these countries too) so you have to check the Region Coding before making any purchase. You can play Region Free and Region C discs only.
It also supports External Hard Disc up-to 1TB.

Another option is go for any media player like WD My Book Live or WD Live Hub.

Thanks for the response. If i connect via avr will HD audio be able to pass?

Blu-ray player > AVR > Speakers and HDMI to TV.

Yes, HD audio should be pass through HDMI.
Also make sure your AVR has the option to pass through the sound over HDMI while it is OFF.

Flipkart has Sony BDP S-1100 for less than 6000/-. Now does anyone have experienced how the upscaling quality is for DVD and other standard definition content?

I am using this player and the DVD look good to me.
Definitely if you buy expensive Blu-ray player 20-35K then the DVD upscaling would be great but if you consider about its price, it does great job and I believe it is worth at this price.
