Hi everyone, I need to ask; for paradym monitor series v6 would I be better going with a Parasound, Outlaw or Sun Fire amplifier? Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Thanks, Rich
2). should i buy NAd c356bee now and psb image t6 speakers later. as i have marantz ls 340 oldies i can used them for a while.
My suggestion is to buy T6 speakers and then plan to buy amplifier later. And use Topping TP20 (Rs. 5k) as amplifier for now. This combination works great if you are not expecting to have very loud music. (The quality of speaker is probably going to contribute to at least 75% of the sound quality.)
Some folks say that Topping TP20 can fry the tweeters (of T6) due to lower power rating. But I could not find any reference to this whatsoever. Unless a competent person explains, I am not holding an opinion about this aspect.
Initially, it seems contradictoryhow could a low-powered amplifier burn out speakers, when amplifiers of 200 or 400 watts per channel would seem to put speakers at much greater risk? The reason is that a small amplifier of 10 or 20 watts per channel can easily be driven into distortion and clipping with even moderately loud playback and dynamic peaks in loudness. The clipping cuts off the waveform and turns the output signal into an almost pure constant DC signal, which can quickly cause the fine wires in the speakers voice coils to overheat and melt. A large amplifier outputs clean power to the speakers distortion-free AC audio signalsthat the speaker voice coils will accept on a momentary basis without damage.
hi guys
I am looking for amp in market either used or new one, my budget is 20-25k. I already have tannoy v series FS. Later i had a plan for DAC and CDPlayer. Please suggest good amp which match my speaker.
Experts required your inputs for buying my amp.
@vikoma: Though I am not a competent authority, here's what Audioholics has to say about the low powered amp clipping issue.

Also why put an expensive speaker at the mercy of a 5k device? We wouldn't even use an el-cheapo UPS/Stab in our HiFi chain then why a cheap amp?![]()
PS: Even I have a tripath hidden in the closet which I sometime use with some old inexpensive speakers just for kicks![]()
im no expert...but giving it a shot anyways... capt rajesh in this forums is selling his almost brand new acoustic potrait amplifier at your said budget...
