Amigo,
I was behind a Sub-Woofer build using Dayton Ultimax 12" driver for the past few weeks.
Got time to complete that last week and its ready to take off now.
The driver construction of Ultimax is quiet sturdy and build quality is very good.

The Dayton 1KW Plate AMP (SPA1000) is too powerful to take any domestic challenge IMO.

The plate amp has good features to tweak the driver in all means.
Cabinet volume is approximately: 5.6 Cubic feet vented type.
Front Battle: 1.5" MDF
The cabinet is braced internally to reduce the resonance and the inside wall is damped with bitumen sheet ->12mm Foam ->3mm Woolen Felt (Kinda new experiment this time, which worked out very well).
The driver takes considerable time to break-in i guess. The Bass is soft and really a room shaker! To my surprise all the windows are jerking after raising the level up to its 60+. Even can see tube lights dimming slightly on drum kicks!
Just thought of sharing few images of the build process below.
