DCB1 Build

Hari, is your circuit for implementing the LED with the DPDT switch ?

Anil, are you referring to the 'Time delay ' muting circuit ? The image does not enlarge for me and is too small to read as-is. Could you please post a bigger pic ?

I am referring to the time delay. It is a Salas circuit from DIYAUDIO. I can give you.

If required then i can build time delay plus dc protect kit for b1. but we can not match price of eBay etc.

I build a point to point soldered version of the DCB1 for testing what the hype is all about and connected it to the output of my preamp. I am getting a dc offset of 0.5mv in one channel and 0.8mv in. Another channel which is ok. I am powering it with the same */-16.5v supply without any issues. I am. not sure if I should be reducing supply too +/-10volts., but yesterday I have played the preamp over 2 hours without any heating or drift, the jfet gets a little warm.

Performance wise theret is a remarkable improvement in soundstage and everything as mentioned by Jousha, I have nothing else to add but only how I could have been without it for so many months.
I used MOR resistors a bit different than that mentioned in the cot diagram and whatever was available with me. Not sure if I should change them. Capacitors are Keltron.
Thanks Omishra for the ckt diagram.

DCB-1 inside packing box!

My first diy project, imagine when one do not have enough gears (for drilling or cutting) to work on metal cabinet. However it was rather a trial before assemble inside a real cab. Thanks to Sachin and Raghu. Especially Sachin, he did the components soldering before shipping the kit. I just wired and installed them inside. And thanks snapdeal for this nice hardy box! Please don't lough! It was a great joyful moment.

Here are some pictures-

That was nice find Srisaikat.I use plastic boxes instead for better handling.:)

I already thought about that, just wanted to have a quick trial. Already sounding better than 5 hours ago, showing quite resolving and transparent at lower volume level. I am feeling thrilled.

Lovely build Srisaikat. Where did you manage to find the lovely multi-coloured RCA socket?:clapping:

Actually rca colors are just incidental, I was looking for traditional red & white, but only those colors were available. I think these colors are used for components video signal.

Snapdeal DCB1, Really appreciate your commitment. The fun of DIY lies in these innovative soutions. Great job.
Please twist the power and signal cables.
